I've always enjoyed Disney's brand of entertainment ever since I can remember. Went to the parks over the years and had a great time. When I started having family of my own and taking them on the occassional (ok, maybe not too occassional) trip to Disney World more and more things started to click. The look on my kid's face with the sheer mention of the Disney name, the weeks of planning before the next trip and the constent "when are we going back to Disney?" the second we walk into our door from a trip. I had always dreamed of retiring from my day job someday and becoming a cast member in the parks for fun (monorail or jungle cruise were high on the list)...but I've decided that having Disney as my "day job" may just be what I'm really looking for in my career. So here I am...a middle/upper-level technical management professional...and I want to work for cheese. Ok, actually I'll need a little more to live on (401k, benefits, vacations, etc) but you get the picture. I've spoken to current and former cast member's in the past trying to find the secret to getting my foot in the door. From the outside it seems Disney wants all to start from the ground up...so here we are. How can I get noticed and find the Utilidor to Disney management?
I'm sure I'm not alone on this...am I?
