General NewsLiving in Atlanta, I've been forced this past season to get the family season passes to Six Flags over Georgia. With each trip I see more and more why Disney has it right. Have noticed this year that Six Flags is trying it's best to copy some of the formula (photo pass, "flash passes", etc.) but they've got a LONG way to go. I've never had to actually fear for my kids safety at anything Disney-related.

Are you still scarred by that one trip you took to Six Flags (NYSE: SIX - News) a few years ago that kept you away for keeps? Were the teens in line behind you swearing the whole time? Did a pack of rowdy coaster-lovers skip in front of you?

General NewsMARCELINE, Mo. -- In most towns, people would probably stare at Barb Boyd for wearing gold-sequined Mickey Mouse ears during her regular strolls down Main Street.

    Here, townsfolk just wave.

    General NewsFound over on cnet

Despite the fact that Disney has just inked a deal with Apple Computer over movie sales in the iTunes Store, and the fact that Apple head honcho Steve Jobs is Disney's largest shareholder, the company that made mouse ears an American icon just might be playing for both teams.
